Privacy Policy

Neohollo Running (hereinafter referred to as "the App", also available on the App Store as "Running Tracker: GPS & Stats") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1. Information We Collect​

1.1 Account Information (via Google Sign-In)​

  • Name (display name)
  • Email address
  • Profile photo URL

1.2 Running Activity Data​

  • Start and end times of runs
  • Total distance and duration
  • Average pace and calories burned
  • Elevation changes

1.3 Location Data​

  • GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude)
  • Location data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to any external server.

2. Purpose of Collection and Use​

3. Storage and Retention​

3.1 Cloud Storage (Firebase)​

  • Account information and running summary data (distance, time, calories, etc.) are stored encrypted on Google Firebase.
  • Each user can only access their own data.

3.2 On-Device Storage​

  • GPS route data is stored only in your device's local storage.
  • When you uninstall the App, on-device GPS data is deleted along with it.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing​

The App does not share your personal information with third parties.

However, we use the following services to operate the App:

Each service follows its own privacy policy provided by the respective service provider.

5. Data Retention and Deletion​

  • When you delete your account, all cloud data is immediately deleted.
  • On-device GPS data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App.
  • If retention is required by applicable law, we will retain data for the required period and then delete it.

6. Your Rights​

You may exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Right to Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to Erasure — Request deletion of your account and data
  • Right to Withdraw Consent — Revoke location permission via your device settings
  • Right to Data Portability — Request an exportable copy of your data (GDPR)
  • Right to Object — Object to the processing of your personal data (GDPR)
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint — File a complaint with your local data protection authority (GDPR)

7. GDPR Notice (For EU/EEA Residents)​

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, please note the following:

  • Legal Basis: We process your personal data based on your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) and to perform our contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • Data Controller: Neohollo Running, contactable at support@pro.neohollo.com
  • International Data Transfers: Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the EU/EEA (such as the United States, where Google Firebase is hosted). These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Automated Decision-Making: The App does not engage in automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

8. CCPA Notice (For California Residents)​

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • Right to Know — The categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect about you
  • Right to Delete — Request deletion of your personal information
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale — We do not sell your personal information to anyone, under any circumstances.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

9. Children's Privacy​

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 14 in some jurisdictions). If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy​

If this policy changes, we will notify you through in-app notices or this page. The updated effective date will be indicated at the top of this document.
